Moments on memory cards

Having returned from our quick little vacation, and while wading through the 100+ photos I took, I can't help but be thankful for photography and video in all its forms.

I'd like to think I would never forget this face. But I would, eventually. I might be able to conjure up some vague version of her three year old self someday, but it wouldn't have the crystallized quality of this image. The sparkle, the tongue, the gleeful grin... I don't think I would have remembered all that. And so I am thankful for moments like this, caught on "film."

Gorgeous shot.
And I am often grateful for the very same thing too. I have hundreds of shots of the Cub already. My mom says it's more than all the pictures of her her entire life. She might be right, I think. We didn't even take that many photos of Monkey-- just didn't have the technology then. And I am so grateful to have it now.

Oh my goodness, that is a fantastic shot. What personality. She's gorgeous. And you are right we do forget. Stupid, inadequate brains. I am thankful for photos too.

Oh, imp is right -- she's such a little cutie!

I'm also grateful for digital cameras, and the ability to take photos of the kids at any given moment.

Happy Thanksgiving!

That impish grin, with the tongue to the side! I love this picture. What a sweetie.
